This article provides instructions on how to finalise a solar project portfolio settlement and cash out your funds.
Step 1 - Login: Login to your Sun Exchange dashboard and navigate to the 'Portfolio Settlements' tab. You will see the current settlement from the Jaltech transaction listed here. Click on the yellow down arrow to open the settlement info. Future settlements will also be listed on this tab and the same process for finalisation will apply.
Step 2 - Review: Once you have opened the settlement you can review the details. Only projects that you owned solar cells in and that are included in the current transaction will be shown here. Click the tick box to confirm that you have read the indemnity notice and then click submit. The status will change from PENDING to PROCESSED and the settlement amount will be credited to your ZAR wallet.

Step 3 (OPTIONAL) - Transfer: Optionally, to transfer your ZAR balance to your BTC wallet navigate to the 'My Wallets' tab and scroll down to the 'ZAR payouts in BTC' section. Click on the 'Schedule a ZAR payout in BTC' button. This will schedule a transfer of your ZAR balance to your BTC wallet. These requests are processed in batches on a Monday. You will receive an email with the exchange details once your request has been processed. Please note that this is on optional step. If you have a South African bank account you can withdraw the ZAR amount directly to your bank account.
Please note that your KYC needs to be up-to-date in order to transfer your ZAR balance to your BTC wallet or to request a cash out. Go to My Profile → KYC → Verify Identity and complete the steps. If you have never completed a full ID verification with Sun Exchange you are required to do so.
Step 4 - Cash Out: Ensure that your KYC is up-to-date (My Profile → KYC → Verify Identity and complete the steps) and that you have added a cash out account. Navigate to My Wallets → Cash Outs → Schedule a Cash Out and follow the steps.
